LEGAL
TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective October 25, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and TintKits (“TintKits,” “we,” “us”), based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They cover the TintKits website, web app and plotter helper (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or buying a kit, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract to use the Service.
- Keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
- One account is for one person or one shop. Don’t share an account between businesses.
2. What you buy: a license, not the pattern
When you buy a kit, you get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to cut that kit on your own plotter, for installs done by you or your shop, up to the number of cuts included with the kit (currently 3 cuts per kit). The patterns themselves stay the property of TintKits or the seller who made them.
You may not:
- Copy, save, export, trace, screenshot for reuse, or capture pattern files, outlines or cut data;
- Share, resell, sublicense or give patterns or cut files to anyone else;
- Reverse engineer the app, helper or cut files, or get around cut limits, payments or security;
- Use the Service to build a competing pattern library.
Every cut is logged to the account that made it. If we find patterns being shared or copied, we may close the account without a refund and take further action to protect our work.
3. Cuts
- A cut is used when you press Cut and the job is sent to your plotter.
- Cuts don’t expire while the Service is running.
- If a cut fails because of a problem with our pattern or our system, contact Support and we’ll restore the cut.
- Problems from your plotter, blade, settings, film or layout (for example, pieces placed off the film) don’t restore a cut.
4. Prices, payment and refunds
- Prices are shown in US dollars before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Unused kits: if you haven’t used any cuts, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
- Used kits: once a cut has been used, the kit is not refundable, except as described in section 3.
- We may change prices or add plans (such as a monthly subscription) in the future. Changes don’t affect kits you already bought.
5. Your job is to check the fit
Patterns are made to fit the vehicles listed, but vehicles vary by trim, year, glass supplier and options. Always check the pattern against the vehicle before installing. We are not responsible for film, labor, vehicle damage or install results.
6. Your own designs
If you add your own file or text to the cut board, you confirm you have the right to use it. We save it to your Recent Files so you can use it again (you can delete it there at any time) and use it only to build your cut files.
AI designs. AI Design sends the description you type to our AI provider (Recraft), which draws the design. AI results can be imperfect or look like existing artwork, so check what you cut: don’t use AI designs that copy someone else’s logo, trademark or character. AI designs are sold in packs; a design that fails to generate doesn’t use a credit.
7. Seller Terms
These apply if you are approved to sell patterns on TintKits.
- Your patterns only. You confirm that every pattern you upload is your own work or that you own the rights to sell it, and that it is not exported, traced or copied from 3M, XPEL or any other licensed pattern software or library. We remove kits and close seller accounts that break this rule, and you are responsible for any claims that come from it.
- Review. We check every kit before it goes live and may turn down, change the listing of, or take down any kit.
- Your files stay private. Pattern files are stored on our servers and are never sent to buyers. Buyers get a license to cut the kit on their own plotter (3 cuts per purchase).
- License to us. You give TintKits the right to store, show previews of, sell and cut your kits on the Service while they are listed, and for buyers to use the cuts they already bought after you take a kit down.
- Pay. For each sale, the card processing fee comes off the top and you receive your share of the rest (50% unless we agree to a different split in writing). Payouts are sent through Stripe to the bank account you link. Sales made before your Stripe account is ready are paid once it is. Refunds to buyers are taken back from both shares.
- Accuracy. You are responsible for your patterns fitting the vehicles you list them for. Buyers can report problems, and we may refund buyers for kits that don’t fit.
- Taxes. You are responsible for your own taxes. Stripe may ask for your tax details to send payouts.
- Leaving. You can take your kits down at any time from your Seller Dashboard.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, add or remove features, vehicles or kits. If we ever shut the Service down, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice by email so you can use your remaining cuts.
9. Disclaimer and limit of liability
The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, TintKits is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, or the cost of film or labor. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above and, for important changes, let you know by email or in the app. Using the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
